Pink Tourmaline Pendant Necklace handcrafted with rough rubellite crystals in white albite matrix and wire wrapped in oxidized copper.

This one-of-a-kind gemstone pendant features natural pink tourmaline (rubellite) crystals growing in a white albite matrix. The soft pink crystals contrast beautifully against the pale host rock and are highlighted by an antiqued copper wire setting inspired by Art Nouveau design.

All materials used in this necklace are nickel free and hypoallergenic, making it a great choice for anyone with metal sensitivities.

One of my favorite features of this design is that the chain is permanently integrated into the pendant. The clasp stays where it belongs instead of constantly rotating around to the front of the necklace.

Both jump rings were hand forged from copper wire, hammered for strength, and filed flush for a secure connection. The extender chain matches the necklace chain so the adjustment looks intentional and finished.

I pay close attention to durability and comfort when creating my jewelry. Wire ends are trimmed with flush cutters and smoothed, rough areas are sanded, and the stone is securely wrapped so it will not wiggle around in the setting. Even the decorative swirls are positioned to help reduce snagging on hair and clothing.

The copper has been patinated to a rich gunmetal color, then selectively polished to bring back warm copper highlights and accentuate the details of the wirework.

This necklace was handcrafted in my non-smoking studio in scenic Union, Washington. It includes a jewelry storage pouch and a surprise gift.
