This one of a kind wire woven pendant was handcrafted with a beautiful magnesite cabochon, copper wire, and brass wire. The striking black, cream, and tan pattern reminds me of an aerial view of continents, islands, rivers, and coastlines. Every time I look at it, I see a different landscape.

The inspiration behind this pendant is connection.

Over the years, rocks, minerals, jewelry making, and the internet have connected me with people from all over the world. Through rock clubs, mineral shows, geology groups, lapidary artists, collectors, and customers, I have learned that even when we live thousands of miles apart, we often share far more in common than we realize. This stone became a reminder of those connections and of how surprisingly small the world can feel.

The front of the pendant is designed to showcase the natural beauty of the stone itself. The pattern is so dramatic that it hardly needed any embellishment. The back, however, became a canvas for my imagination.

As a child, I was fascinated by the sprawling bridges and freeway interchanges around Tacoma and Seattle. In my memory they were enormous winding mazes, almost like something from a Dr. Seuss illustration. The backside of this pendant reflects those memories through a labyrinth of woven copper and brass pathways, symbolizing the countless roads, relationships, and experiences that connect us throughout our lives.

Like all of my work, this pendant is finished on both sides. The stone is held securely, the wirework is carefully positioned for comfort, and all fine wire ends are tucked away to help prevent snagging.

This listing is for the pendant shown. You may purchase it by itself or select an optional necklace from the dropdown menu.

I offer a high quality adjustable satin slipknot cord or a handcrafted antiqued copper chain. The cord ends are finished and sealed, and Hypo Cement is injected into the knots to help keep them secure. My copper chains are assembled by hand and feature all nickel free and hypoallergenic materials. The chain links are soldered and the jump rings are hammered for strength and filed flush to help prevent slippage.

Copper chains include a 3 inch extender chain. It will be similar to the one with flat oval links shown photographed alone on a white background.  Please select the shortest length you would like the necklace to hang, and you will be able to lengthen it by up to 3 inches. The most commonly selected length for my pendants is 17 inches.

My normal shipping turnaround is 1–3 business days. Please allow an additional 2–3 business days if you order a cord or chain so I can create and attach it for you.

This pendant was handcrafted by me in my nonsmoking studio in scenic Union, Washington. This is the exact pendant you will receive. It comes with a jewelry satchel for storage and a surprise gift.
