One detail I especially like about this design is that the chain is permanently integrated into the pendant. The clasp stays where it belongs instead of constantly working its way around to the front of the necklace.

I pay close attention to durability and comfort when creating my jewelry. All wire ends are trimmed with flush cutters and smoothed, the stone is securely wrapped and does not wiggle, and the decorative spirals are positioned to help reduce snagging on hair and clothing.

Each piece is handmade in my non-smoking studio in scenic Union, Washington. Your necklace will arrive with a jewelry storage pouch and a surprise gift.

Gemstone Information and Metaphysical Properties of Amethyst

Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz with a Mohs hardness of 7. Its color is produced by iron impurities that have been exposed to natural radiation over time. Amethyst is light sensitive and can gradually fade when exposed to prolonged direct sunlight, so I recommend storing it in the dark when not in use.

Amethyst is known for promoting calm, happiness, balance, patience, and spiritual awareness. It is often used to support intuition, self-reflection, insight, and personal growth. Amethyst encourages moderation, helps ease frustration, and reminds us that there is enough time for what truly matters.

Amethyst is associated with all chakras but is especially connected with the third eye and crown chakras. It is traditionally considered a stone of balance, transformation, peace, harmony, vision, understanding, memory, sleep, and inner growth.

Historically, amethyst has also been used in crystal healing practices for headaches, nervous system disorders, and muscle spasms.
